I watched a little girl become conscious of her surroundings and turn from a crying baby into an interactive little person. It’s was definitely a little more introspective and thought provoking for me and the songs here seem to reflect that. This list is more downbeat than last year but, if anything, they are more  intense and emotional, creating a groove all their own. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful New Years!

Lucky for us, London-based trio, Years & Years, reworked All We Are’s “I Wear You” and transformed the song into a stunning, powerful track that is mellow, warming, and perfect for a cold night, or any night for that matter.

The original track has been stripped entirely – this cover is led by a sweet piano ballad and continues with a mysterious and echoing feel through ambient synths. The beautiful vocals of lead singer, Olly Alexander, help to make this track as wonderful as it is. Take a listen below.

It’s an interesting analogy, but one that seems fairly appropriate when you listen to Feel Safe. All We Are brings us a very interesting, laid back, soulful track. It’s understated and excellent. Try it on for size and let us know what you think.
