The bro/sis duo opens for The Knocks at Brooklyn Bowl on Sat 1/12. I’ve got an extra ticket, care to join? Think about it. This Team Spirit remix of Kids is bangin.

Today’s an exciting day for no less than two reasons. One – you’re reading this on our new site. That’s neat! Two – tonight is the first Popshop of 2013 and the second anniversary of the first Popshop ever. So, the kind folks over at Neon Gold are throwing it old school style and making it free! I heard they’re over 500 RSVP’s and counting. This is certainly a strong way to start of 2013. Free show, Ghost Beach, Blondfire, K. Flay. Haerts. This is a serious lineup no matter how you slice it. So in honor of such a worthy show, we’re going to break it down with a track from each act. Peep it; and we’ll see you there. Just look for the guy that looks like Marv from Home Alone.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this track. Particularly the acoustic guitar and the folk vibe that I’m picking up. Blondfire comes to us from Los Angeles. A brother and sister duo Bruce and Erica Driscoll are bringing back the sounds of San Francisco. This track is a solid blend of old and new. A seamless marriage of past and present.
