There are two preeminent rising stars in the indie pop game right now, and this track features both. Queens NY based Dart Party is on fire with his latest string of monthly releases the latest of which is this tremendous house/disco hybrid head bopper. Second is NYC indie label, Crazy Heart Records which has exploded on the scene in the last few months with PROM, Fickle Friends and now this finely polished gemstone. Dec-March is an important time for indie releases ahead of SXSW and I promise you’ll be rewarded if you keep an eye on Dart Party and Crazy Heart Records.

These are the fun ones. When your friends get together and create something awesome. This is truly what it’s all about. There have been grumblings about this remix for months. And to FINALLY get a chance to listen to this audio gold is just top shelf. At this point, you know Dart Party the man, the myth, the legend. And you know Minnesota-based rockers Step Rockets and when the two decided to do the damn thing we are left with can only be described as a tune that makes me want to ice skate. Like literally, when you’re in the DJ booth and your playing a song and your feet are moving back and forth as though you’re actually skating on ice. That’s where I’m at. On July 11, 2014 I had the opportunity to DJ my first festival stage at The Hudson Project in Saugerties, NY. It was one of the most amazing, life changing experiences I have ever been privy to. This is a recording of what happened. It is a moment I will never forget and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to do what I love in front of so many amazing people. I hope it’s the first of many and I hope you enjoy.

It’s not every day that a match is made in heaven. But sometimes the gods smile upon us. I’ve literally been waiting to talk about this track for a year. The homie Dart Party has been upping his game with each new release an in this instance, he collaborated with none other than our dudes, Ghost Beach to take the delicious grit pop gem Moon Over Japan and turned it out into an absolute dance floorgasm. In the best of ways. I’ve been listening to this for months anxiously awaiting its release to the masses. I can confidently say that Dart Party has arrived and he’s only getting stronger. Be on the lookout for more original material coming from him in the very near future.

I’ll be shocked if you’re not hooked from the first note. If you’re new, now you know. There’s a lot coming for you from this Queens-based producer. We’ve had the pleasure of having him spinning at our monthly shows and we’ll be even more excited to see what he has in store for us at SXSW.
