Sort of a bittersweet tune here. Behind the upbeat melodies and guitars, it’s a song about life’s hope and dreams staying in your dreams. It’s melancholic to say the least. But I can’t get the guitar riff out of my mind. It’s just so damn perfect. I first came across De Lux back in August of 2013 where I claimed that I may have encountered the next LCD Soundsystem. I’ll stand by that statement more than ever.

Oh word?? Back in August, I told you about De Lux and how they were filling the major void left when LCD Soundsystem hung them up. Well, now they’ve got an EP that’s fresh out the kitchen and I’m seriously impressed. This is how you make a god damned EP. All killer no filler. Daps to Scion AV for putting this out. This is real.Every track stands on it’s own.It’s one of the stronger EPs I’ve heard in recent memory And this is all from the first-take—they never re-record. Fun fact.

Stop the presses! We may have just discovered someone to fill the giant gap in hearts that died when James Murphy and LCD Soundsystem hung em up 3 years ago. It’s been a long, depressing road back to this place. Much like getting over a break up: sleeping with random people, drinking too much, getting skinny, acting irrationally. In this case, it’s a little different. But you get the idea.

I know absolutely nothing about De Lux other than they are from Glendale California and they’re fucking awesome. Thanks to All Things Go for the tip.
