There’s something about it that brings me to a time and a place where everything just feels right. Today we get to premiere a new tune from Los Angeles based Droid Bishop. And it’s pure gold. Any time I bring up Molly Ringwald you know it’s good. And this is no exception. It just strikes a chord with me. The pulsating synths and drums feel so cinematic. I can’t get enough. I think these guys and Story of The Running Wolf need to sit down in the studio together.

In Your Love is the second single of their album Beyond Blue, which drops this coming Tuesday September 23rd on 80s Ladies Records, a brand new Chicago-based label. Drawing influences from acts such as M83, Daft Punk, Ladyhawke and Tommy 86, Droid Bishop creates an old-but-new sound complete with spacey, sci-fi overtones, while incorporating cinematic aspects in a unique blend. The first single released from Beyond The Blue, entitled “Out Of My Mind,” featured his Grammy-nominated brother, Sam Sparro. Who just so happens to be appearing at Escape Music Festival!
