Nimino is on the brink of a tumultuous adventure of sleepless nights and symbiotic artistry survival. Nimino transitions the crux of a night into dreamlike dawn with his smooth decrescendos and soulful influences. An emerging artist from Brighton, UK, Milo Evans transfixes crowds with his fluctuating rhythm ensuring a fluid denouement of the night’s antics. Milo’s youth is riddled with the heavy influence of the dubstep scene in Brighton; a mecca where dubstep fans could transcend the barriers of life through a jolt of music and a slap of salt air. He takes a softer approach to the electronic hub that had emerged, creating soft ambient tunes to sooth the soul’s transition before emerging into the salty sunshine.

I am always struck by an artist with a calling. Passion is a devil that strikes inopportunely, yet a calling shines through the face of aversion, failure, and perseverance. Milo has graced the stage since 14, his artistry will remember his innovation in the face of a jarred musical scene, introducing soothing ambients to a future of listeners.

Surpassing cross-continental barriers, this trio’s collaboration has created an incredible summer tune with articulate residual beats of vintage summer rock ‘n roll, only to be enhanced with ambient electronics. All I want is to be diving into this song and emerging into their unrequited paradise. This collaboration is a key step in the development of each of these artists, refining their style and experimenting with one another’s strengths and varying backgrounds. Miskeyz is based out of Lyon, France, CS in Oslo, Norway, and Emma Carn in Western Australia. Such diverse backgrounds has brought a richness in emotion, experience, and musical engineering. Soothingly fresh vocals integrated into the melody with soaring electronics synchronizes the beats for a delicious outcome. Promoted by an independent record label voicing the unvoiced, Casual Jam Records brings a global influence to their musical promotions specializing in casual and soothing musical ambience. There is no paradise lost, as long as vibrations of this world continue to ignite dreamers.

OH-EM-GEE! They have returned to “share their vision in a way we all understand – through music.” With their future-retro sound and progressive attitude, they believe that music will change the world. They claim they are here to remind us: “We are strong. We are capable. We are all superheroes.” I have a buddy who also believes we all at least have some sort of “superpower,” no matter how big or how small. He claims his is to hold his diarrhea in until it turns solid. He’s a weird guy. So too it seems are the Superwalkers. Makes sense I like them both, I guess.

My next few blog posts are just going to be tracks that I discovered during our SXSW showcase. This one comes by way of Jimmy Minas-Blight aka Jimmy Blatant. A Welsh Writer/Composer/Producer/Engineer who dropped in for an unbelievable set on Saturday night just after Dart Party and before Cherub. It felt like an endless string of original hits, one after another for about 35 minutes. I never really knew I liked house music until I heard Jimmy Blatant. It really was quite spectacular. For full photo coverage check out 1drv.ms/itsthegreenroom

Why has no one named their band “Vibes” before now? That seems like a huge oversight, but it’s entirely appropriate for this Santa Monica trio. Here’s the lowdown on Sweet Talk: it’s a glittery, poolside soon-to-be-classic, and I expect to hear it blasting from the rooftops next time I’m driving through your neighborhood. It’s one of those things that puts everyone in a good mood, like freeze pops and Victoria’s Secret models. I’m speaking objectively here of course. Grab their 3-track EP on Bandcamp, and chill out to the summery sounds.

Take a listen to the subtly trappy electronica coming from Canadian production trio Unlikely Futures. These guys describe their sounds with their own genre names: “Northern Lights” and “Crystal Synth” I think are terms I’m gonna start using to describe music. In Your Arms is a celestial new track that somehow manages to be both jarring and soothing at the same time. This, and the rest of the music on their Soundcloud, is just straight-up mesmerizing. And now for the inevitable play on words: there’s likely a bright future in store for Unlikely Futures.

Things are going well for UK-based Kidnap Kid aka Mark Relton. He just graduated from university, he finished a new EP yesterday and, oh yeah, he won iTunes US Best Electronic Song of 2012 for his debut release “Vehl” on budding indie Black Butter Records. Not bad. And neither is this track off his second release So Close. I’m calling it an expertly executed house head bobber and leaving it at that, which I think he would prefer. As luck would have it, TMD will be bobbing along to his tunes in person when he and TEED come play DC’s U St. Music Hall on June 5. See you there.
