Good remixes are really hard to come by: for a remix to actually be effective, it has to take a song and give it a whole new feel while still maintaining the original track’s essence. Anonymous producer Toulouse does just that, by transforming Kanye West’s somber hip-hop number “Wolves” into an equally-dark future bass track using its Sia sample, heavy synths, and funky basslines. So while we may not know much about Toulouse, we do know that he can make a damn good remix, and hopefully we’ll be hearing more.

We’ve been long time fans of Trinidadian-born Theophilus London and this standout track reminds us why.

“Can’t Stop” is the first single from London’s upcoming album, Vibes!, and we’re not disappointed. This laid back track begins with London’s soothing and entrancing voice and continues with a smokey beat throughout. To make it even better, he collaborates with executive producer Kanye West, who sneaks in a hot verse that ties it all together.

This feels a little cheap – but you know the quickest way to my heart is via Robots. And the only way you’re going to get me to talk about Kanye is if you throw some Robots along side. ‘Doing It Right’ just might be the best track off Random Access Memories. I hate ‘The Good Life’ – but this kind of works. I kind of can’t stop listening to it. I AM NOT AN ADVOCATE FOR DAFT PUNK MASHUPS. But this works and I love the Hood Internet.

Side note: Random Access Memories came out for real today. Go cop it.
