By chance, I stumbled upon this tantalizing track by Mulla, a relatively unknown producer based in Liverpool, with one post — “No One” — on his Soundcloud page. The resounding lyrics pay tribute to Destiny’s Child “Say My Name“, repeated throughout in deep, monotone vocals and accompanied by a undeniably catchy, hip-moving beat. Since my first listen a few weeks back, I’ve been chanting, “if no one is around you, say baby I love you”, as if the year were 1999 and Queen Bey plus crew had just released their hit. I’ve tried to clear this tune from my system but can’t let it go, so thought I better hit you with another #TBT — promise this will be my last… for now.
