The EP is comprised of three tracks, Morning Sun, Night Trip and Pyxis. Also attached are three remixes of Morning Sun, which is the standout track full of nu-disco baselines, excellent vocals from Clara La San and all sorts of dance-y funk. The other two tracks are dreamy instrumentals in which Neptune describes as, “A sound to create a universe.”

The three remixes of Morning Sun are well done and each represent a different take on this track. For once, the Edward Newgate effort isn’t my favorite. It’s decent but there’s a lot going on there. I think the Funk LeBlanc and the Rise & Fool tracks strike more of a chord with me as reinterpretations of in an interesting, toe tapping nu-disco effort.

All in all, I think this is a very nice piece of work and I can’t wait to see what Neptune has in store for us when he gets a whole album together, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
