Last time we checked in with them I dropped a Beatles reference. Bold some would say. Here we notice an evolution in their sound with even more pop sensibility making their bid for song of the summer. I’m throughly digging what I’m hearing. Their new 3-song EP, Bang Bang is set to release August 19th and it’s filled with gritty, synth influenced rock with big drum beats and lyrically driven folk-pop hooks. Look for more from these guys in the very near future.

That’s the first thought I had when I listened to Nick D & The Believers‘ track ‘Find A Little Love’. That’s kind of a big statement. I get that. But I’m just shootin’ from the hip here. As you go on to listen to the EP, you find some other awesome influences in there as well. I’m catching some White Stripes, Beach House and Tennis as well. These are all wonderful bands to draw from so I’m feeling like things are looking pretty bright for the guys from Columbus, OH. I suggest you give it a spin.
