It was one of the most amazing, life changing experiences I have ever been privy to. This is a recording of what happened. It is a moment I will never forget and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to do what I love in front of so many amazing people. I hope it’s the first of many and I hope you enjoy.

The Man released the spectacular In the Mountains In the Clouds under Atlantic in 2011.  After dominating the tour/festival circuit for  the last 2 years, they released a glorified victory lap last month titled Evil Friends (the band’s 7th album, 2nd under Atlantic).  You see?  The system is not entirely broken.

The Man was totally killing it on The Governor’s Ball main stage on Sunday afternoon. I was standing on solid ground and it didn’t feel like a novelty. John Gourley broke a guitar string and, in an impressive feat of manual dexterity, he seamlessly transitioned to a new guitar while singing. The sun made a glorious and long awaited appearance. And Portugal. The Man didn’t play my favorite song off of their fantastic new album, Evil Friends. So while I’m waiting for that call from the band to consult on their next set list, please enjoy this great track.
