Banks’ soulful voice is nicely accompanied by a soft piano to open before heavy synths and menacing bass take over, like the encroaching darkness of a winter’s night.

Banks will be opening for the Weeknd on his upcoming tour and has a debut EP coming out soon.

Earlier this year the Frenchman put out an LP named Outrun and has now returned with remixes of single “Odd Look.” Today, the Weeknd’s take on the track was released and his falsetto vocals feel surprisingly at home in Kavinsky’s retro-electo-stylings.
