TMD-Presents-Betty-Who-Live-At-The-Knitting-Factory

TMD Presents: Betty Who w/ Joywave & Future Screens @ The Knitting Factory on Friday 9/13

It’s on again!  After the absolutely kinetic turnout at our August show, TMD is looking to make it two-for-two…and this time we’re raising the stakes!

We can’t think of an indie artist with more buzz right now than Betty Who.  The Australian born disciple of the Boston’s Berklee College of Music has carved out time from her busy studio schedule to release a brand new single for us on Friday September 13th.  Following synth-pop hits like “You’re in Love” or “High Society” and her melodic masterpiece, “Right Here”, our anticipation for this new single is officially paralyzing.  The track is set to premiere later in the month and she will be performing it live for the first time at this show!

And we’re just so stoked on Rochester based synth poppers Joywave right now.  Their brand of indie electro pop channels everything amazing about Depeche Mode with strikingly modern sensibilities. After their stunning sold-out Pianos performance back in June we had no choice but to get them on this billing.

And I couldn’t be more excited to add Future Screens to the bill. They come to us all the way from… Brooklyn; bringing their own special brand of “ergonomic synthpop” that will have you reliving the golden days of summer. Can’t wait to catch their live set. Every track they’ve put out is infectious as hell and I’m fairly certain that this dance party will be getting started at 8pm SHARP when they take the stage. So you definitely do not want to be late to this one.

Rounding out the night we’ve got our favorite DJ, Dart Party. If you were at our last show, you know what’s in store. He kept it real friendly in between sets and then absolutely turned out the front room and basically shut The Knitting Factory down. I can’t wait to hear what he’s got up his sleeve this time.

See you on the 13th!!
