Billy Fox – Monuments (Kevin Breton Remix)

I posted about this track when it originally dropped and I’m as big of a fan of it now as I was then. It’s been lodged at the top of my downbeat playlist and that’s just where I like it.

Billy Fox created a real gem for us in Monuments and I was excited to see what Kevin Breton was going to bring to it. The 18 year old from Stockholm did not disappoint, putting together a more upbeat version of Monuments. This is something I could have seen coming from a very relaxed Bag Raiders or Cut Copy.

Breton has kept the core of the song with it’s wonderful vocals and melody and tuned it up, mixing these elements and adding a more danceable beat. Well played sir, we’ll keep our eye out for more from you in the future.
