Holychild – Everytime I Fall
Infectious. That is all I can really say about Holychild’s latest, “Everytime I Fall.” Typically I do not stray too far into the pop side of synth-pop or indie-pop, but after listening to this song non-stop over the past 3 days, I must concede. There have been plenty of comparisons thrown around on the blogosphere in regards to Holychild’s sound, including Phantogram, Sleigh Bells, Matt & Kim, Vampire Weekend, and others – however, I hear the sugar-coated synth-pop of Passion Pit with the song structure and vocals of CHVRCHES. Maybe it is no surprise that there is a CHVRCHES element since Holychild are now signed to the same label as the Glaswegians, Glassnote. Either way though, keep an eye out for their debut EP Mindspeak due out next month and give “Everytime I Fall” a listen below.
