Bombino – Azamane Tilliade

Meshing Tuareg rhythms of the Sahara with gritty blues-rock of the States, Niger-born guitarist Goumar “Bombino” Almoctar has sculpted a mesmerizing sound that spans two continents, thousands of miles and decades of bloody political conflict. Following the international success of his solo album Agadez, he returns with this track off newly released¬†Nomad, produced by The Black Keys’s Dan Auerbach at his Nashville studio. A survivor, refugee and former shepherd, Bombino now stands to succeed Tuareg pioneers Tinariwen as the living embodiment of modern-day desert blues.
