Cut Copy – Free Your Mind

Lost in the shuffle of releases this past week (see Arcade Fire) was Cut Copy’s latest and the announcement of a new album. Free Your Mind and the title track were dropped via the ever-growing public ‘art’ method with billboards across the globe. The song “Free Your Mind” signals a shift from synth-pop to something more akin to a dance-y Tame Impala. This should come as no surprise since Tame Impala producer Dave Friedmann worked with Cut Copy for Free Your Mind. Either way, this, along with “Let Me Show You” show a true progression for a band on their 4th album.
