Gateway Drugs – I’m Gonna Stop Loving You (Yvonne Chaka Chaka Cover)

Soundcloud’s Explore page has often gotten me lost in a bunch of strange sounds but my faith is restored with this new track from South African synth-pop duo Gateway Drugs. I stayed with family in South Africa (Amanzimtoti, a coastal town about 20-minutes’ drive north of Durban) in 2007-2008, so I’m always super stoked to see SA bands doing cool things. At the time I imagined catching my first glimpse of Africa from the plane while listening to Toto’s Africa. Fortunately my music tastes have developed since then, and this track will certainly be on any future travel playlists.
