Neptune Safari, Night Trip EP

Neptune Safari – Night Trip [EP]

French producer, Neptune Safari, just released his newest EP, Night Trip and I am very excited to share it with you. The EP is comprised of three tracks, Morning Sun, Night Trip and Pyxis. Also attached are three remixes of Morning Sun, which is the standout track full of nu-disco baselines, excellent vocals from Clara La San and all sorts of dance-y funk. The other two tracks are dreamy instrumentals in which Neptune describes as, “A sound to create a universe.”

The three remixes of Morning Sun are well done and each represent a different take on this track. For once, the Edward Newgate effort isn’t my favorite. It’s decent but there’s a lot going on there. I think the Funk LeBlanc and the Rise & Fool tracks strike more of a chord with me as reinterpretations of in an interesting, toe tapping nu-disco effort.

All in all, I think this is a very nice piece of work and I can’t wait to see what Neptune has in store for us when he gets a whole album together, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
