TMD Presents: Seasick Mama, Walking Shapes, KOPPS @ The Westway 2/22

Whoa!  This is going to be fun.  You have heard of KOPPS, but perhaps can’t pick them out of a lineup.  That’s because the Rochester duo, guilty of slaying the blogeratti with various Joywave collaborations, will be making their NYC live debut at this show! Rumor has it, lead Patricia Patrón and beats counterpart Kyle O, are particularly excited to be performing their self-described “Fuck Jams” in a former gentlemen’s club.  Say no more…I’m all about this.

Next, as the last stop on their Northeast tour with Seasick Mama, Walking Shapes will unleash a captivating brand of rock-n-roll that I can only describe as Radiohead meets Foals. The elaborate strings and vocals make this show mesmerizing.  

Did someone say Seasick Mama? Singer/songwriter/model Marial Maher and her band have been causing quite a stir in the NYC live scene for almost a year now.  Brilliant songwriting, unbridled theatrics, impeccable vocals, outrageous outfits and bountiful tattoo sleeves define this remarkably high class show.  As the final stop on her 3 week long tour, this is setting up to be quite the homecoming!
