Billy Fox – Monuments

My newest go-to song brings us back to my favorite place that I’ve never been, Australia. Chris Baker, born and raised in Sydney has dropped this gem from his solo project, Billy Fox. The song, Monuments, has a very intriguing opening winding together synth and piano sounds drawing you in. Baker’s wonderful R&B vocals join the mix like Goldilocks’ favorite porridge, not too loud and not too soft but just right. It almost sounds like a cross between LVLF and James Blake which is alright with me any day. I keep wanting to not let the next song play because Monuments is so good. My advice is go to a place with a view, loop this track and revel in it.
